CONCEPT
Cannabliss, a concept design created for the enjoyment of a playful tea that is infused with Cannabis. Designed for an audience who enjoys tea, but with a little kick of pleasure and extra benefits. This brand provides three exclusive versions. Morning Birds, green tea infused with Sativa for a burst of energy. Evening Skies, a black tea that contains Hybrid cannabis. Sweet Dreams, an herbal tea infused with Indica to provide relaxation and ease before bed. Cannabliss is a product for anyone who enjoys a cup of tea no matter the time of day.
PROCESS
My process began with the mood board. I wanted to incorporate a lot of white space, but I wanted to do this through the use of color. When I first started, I decided to do solid colors as white space but noticed that didn't work. I saw that what did work was the textures. So I redesigned the project and made the texture all throughout the tea packaging. The textures represent the smoke, and moveable feeling as someone gets high. I created these textures through brush strokes I made and edited them through illustrator. I also incorporated line illustrations to create a more modern approach for customers, and a script font to emphasize the type of tea. I used the color to identify the type of tea as well. Green was for green tea, blue for herbal tea, and orange for black tea.
TRIAL / ERROR
I started my project by first creating the mood board, and then logo sketches followed up by vectorizing the logos. I noticed as I started to design the tea packaged the logo, and the design overall was not working. So, I redesigned the packaging, but still took hold of the main concepts and ideas like the texture, and outline work be carried onto the new packaging.
